Its services are entirely free of charge and are available to anyone living in Switzerland, regardless of social class or status. Missing Children Switzerland provides support to families in the various stages following the disappearance of a child and works upstream through lobbying to improve prevention based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, ratified by Switzerland in 1997.
It is a non-governmental foundation, recognised as of public interest.
