The last mile can be the hardest to walk...

About twenty "extra muros Social workers (TSHM)" from the French-speaking part of Switzerland met on 9 May 2022, for a day of exchange and sharing of good practices. Missing Children Switzerland was also there!

The aim of this meeting was to understand how to create new synergies in order to strengthen the social safety net in romandie .

Mission accomplished!

Thanks to the active participation of our two teams, this day took place in a benevolent and progressive spirit, whose focus was locked on the beneficiaries of both of our actions, namely, minors in vulnerable situations.

Some fundamental ethical questions were also addressed, which allowed us to outline a first methodology for a new collaboration.

In this sense, Missing Children Switzerland has found the ideal alliance to ensure that each young person can return home in the best possible conditions. The thousand and one virtual platforms will never replace a real person who is available to listen to them where they are, i.e. on the street.

Our accompaniment can therefore end smoothly thanks to the excellent work of the TSHM, which is of immense added value for the individual care of young people and their families in runaway situations.

Missing Children Switzerland is delighted to be able to further strengthen its work in the prevention of endangerment and would like to thank the team of street educators from the city of Sion for organising this day of sharing good practice.
